I bought my Vive to experiment with 7Invensun eyetracking and I was really enthusiast about trying eye-tracked UX. Otherwise, contact HTC support to have your Vive fixed (good luck with that). In my case, the controllers weren’t detected in any app, not even in Unity when developing for VR.
