Xreal Air 2 Ultra are true AR glasses, but they only work with two specific Samsung phones. While Nreal Light could only detect flat planes such floors and tables, Xreal Air 2 Ultra can apparently generate a 3D mesh of your room, as Meta Quest 3 and high-end AR devices like Magic Leap 2 can.

Yes, Google might still be resurgent with Android, powered by Owlchemy's insights and Samsung's hardware , and other companies might surprise with a novel strategy too. I'll go so far as to wager it's probably game over for Magic Leap and HoloLens and some other optically transparent approaches.
