Facebook gets sued for monopolization in US and Germany. The actions coming from the US are not much related to VR and Oculus, but mostly to the social space. This could also mean splitting the Facebook Reality Labs into a separate company (a new Oculus?), Oculus Rift S now costs $300. Top news of the week.

Facebook has started today enforcing the “Facebook login” rule , asking Oculus users to merge their Facebook and Oculus accounts. VR people think that this may mean that Facebook may have to remove its mandatory Facebook login, also because other countries (like Germany) are raising similar concerns.

In that period, the Oculus DK2 ordered by Gianni arrived, and he told me that I should go to his office to try that device, and my reaction at that time was like “Oculus what??” You can clearly see from the videos that we did our first demos inside the Oculus samples scenes. Welcome to my post about the second day I’ve spent here at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany (you can read the summary of the previous ones here and here ). Today has been another interesting day: it has started with us running to try to enter the Cyberpunk 2077 booth (but with no luck) and has finished playing with an Oculus Go.
