Years later, in 2014, my previous classmate Gianni Rosa Gallina called me because he wanted to create a startup about all the fancy things we were discussing in that period, in particular Google Glasses and my obsession about seeing virtual objects on top of the real world. This is how I got started with Virtual Reality development.

I spent 80% of my time on a slightly customized version of Unreal Engine for Developers in-VR Editor (by Epic Games). It enables sophisticated in-VR level design and a good part of Unreal’s interface is exposed within it. I also used Google TiltBrush for sketching and Blocks to create low-poly environments for Vive Focus.

My friend Nicolas Esposito of Enter Reality has released Project Rigel, his solution to provide full-body tracking and motion capture for Unreal Engine.
