Top news of the week (Image by Google) Google announced Android XR The most important news of the week, and one of the most important of the whole year, has been the official announcement by Google of Android XR. The only announced content is the G-suite and some games like Demeo or Vacation Simulator, but more is to come.
Job Simulator, Vacation Simulator, and Demeo will be available on Android XR. Since launching in 2016 and 2019 respectively, Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator have both been ported to most XR headsets across the years, most recently on Apple Vision Pro. Owlchemy Labs and Resolution Games announced they’re adopting support for Android XR, bringing some of their most popular titles to Google’s upcoming XR operating system. Android XR is set to make its debut on Samsung’s ‘Project Moohan’ mixed reality headset , which is slated for consumer launch sometime in 2025.

Honestly, I wasnt expecting a Vision Pro headset until next year, but Apple is probably launching a new device to take measures against the upcoming release of Googles Project Moohan.
