Sony unveiled a new location-based entertainment (LBE) concept based on The Last of Us game and TV franchise. HTC predicts the rise of all-in-two devices. And it feels weird that HTC hasn’t fixed such a cheap little component that was already faulty on the original Vive. It is sold by Sony, but actually, the idea behind it comes from Impulse Gear , that studio that developed Farpoint. The speakers are not as amazing as the ones of the Valve Index, and the microphone is a total disaster.
The haptics in the Move controller is also well suited to the game, offering a strong and satisfying vibration when hitting each note. Though a release date still hasn’t been announced, lightsaber VR rhythm game Beat Saber was confirmed earlier this year to be coming to PSVR.
It also features significantly higher resolution HDR displays, wider field of view lenses, eye tracking, head vibration, and ergonomic controllers with thumbsticks & high-fidelity haptics. While the original Oculus Rift and HTC Vive (and even the original Quest) used OLED, LCD has almost entirely taken over the VR market since then.
