Sony today announced it’s permanently discounting PSVR 2 starting next month, bringing the PS5 and PC-compatible VR headset to $400. Sony launched PSVR 2 nearly two years ago today at $550. Provided we see another 42% discount like Black Friday, that would bring PSVR 2 to just $232putting well into stocking stuffer territory.
Shuhei Yoshida (aka ‘Shu’) has left Sony, closing a near 32-year chapter of his life with the company. Yoshida announced he was leaving Sony back in November, setting his retirement date for January 15th, 2025. “And when I hit 30 years, I was thinking, hmm, it may be about time for me to move on. .”

United States import records from late 2021 onward show that Sony Interactive Entertainment has shipped thousands of boxes containing developer kits from Asia to the US.
