Based on the video provided, it appears as though attendees will be using PC backpacks provided by VRcade Systems all-in-one free-roam VR platform in conjunction with the HTC Vive Pro and its motion controllers. As for what the experience is actually like, we’ll just have to wait and see.

The VR viewing schedule tips off October 26th with the New Orleans Pelicans vs. the Houston Rockets, and will feature a top game each week throughout the NBA regular season. The NextVR app is free and available on Gear VR, Google Daydream, Microsoft VR headsets, PSVR, Oculus Go, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Quest.

We’ve certainly had a few events here in Houston focused on the energy space, a few events around digital technology, and the use of not only XR but also AI and digital twins in the energy space. A lot of people there were using Mata Quest 3, Pico, HTC, or Varjo headsets to train workers on oil rigs and tankers.
