A new FCC listing appears for an HTC Vive headset. And in fact, a new request to FCC for a new device has arrived from HTC. FCC certifications are requested before releasing an electronic device in the US (to certify that it is safe to be used), so this is a clear sign that HTC is going to release a new headset soon.

The same day of the launch of Half-Life: Alyx, Hewlett-Packard has announced its new virtual reality headset, the Reverb G2 , made in collaboration with Microsoft and Valve. Case Western Reserve University, a world-renowned medical institution, joined the event to reveal how it leveraged Microsoft’s MR tools by combining them with its educational software platform. The company explored 3D modelling and printing, and later, Microsoft debuted its first-generation HoloLens at the time.
Founded in Dayton, Ohio in 1979, Full Sail University launched as an audio recording workshop. The institution hosts degrees for associate, bachelor, and master’s degrees for students across entertainment media, XR, and emerging technologies. After successes in enrolment, it later expanded to its Winter Park-based campus in 1989.
The two day conference was packed with simultaneous, back-to-back presentations and workshops from industry leaders such as Microsoft, Google, AMD, The VOID, IMAX, Two Bit Circus, Secret Location, Globacore, Quantum Capture, The Canadian Film Centre, and many more.

These optical windows were a proud design feature on the HTC Vive headsets, but are much more subtle on the Index equipment making them harder to identify.
