According to reports by Dutch website Mobielkopen , Taiwanese consumer electronics company HTC has officially filed protection for the phrase “Vive Cosmos” at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), as well as several other agencies in both Switzerland and New Zealand.

Last October Oculus announced its ‘ Oculus Rift for Business ‘ bundle, offering for the first time a package which included a warranty and license officially sanctioned for commercial use. That policy has made HTC the de facto choice of headset for high-end out-of-home VR deployments in the area.

Rift S stocks persevered up until just last week in the only remaining regions where you could order direct from Oculus , which included Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan. Now every supported country is out of stock, leaving only a few Oculus Quests in some last holdout regions.
