HTC reveals a new platform designed specifically for major corporations and family-owned businesses. HTC is also launching the VIVE Business AppStore, a store catering specifically to VR business tools. Much like the Oculus app store has games, the VIVE App store will offer any VR app or tool designed for business use.
HTC’s lightweight VR device is designed primarily for lifestyle and light entertainment. HTC today unveiled the Vive Flow, a portable VR glasses device. Unlike existing VR headsets such as the HTC Vive or Oculus Quest 2, the Vive Flow is aimed primarily at mental and physical wellness rather than AAA gaming or enterprise.

Valve’s monthly Steam hardware and software survey is out, and it appears Oculus Rift is still gaining momentum over HTC Vive on the Steam platform as the number one VR headset among Steam users. Oculus Rift currently sells for $400, which includes the headset, Touch controllers, and 2 sensors.

HTC teases new information regarding their upcoming 6DoF headset. Last month the Consumer Electronics Expo 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada, HTC announced the latest addition to their VR hardware line-up, the HTC Vive Comos , a combination PC/mobile 6DoF headset featuring inside-out tracking and a flip-up visor.
HTC has announced that it will offer its Vive WAVE mobile VR platform to all Snapdragon-based headsets. The move means that headset makers will be able to adopt HTC’s ready-made headset OS (instead of developing their own) and gain instant content compatibility with a pre-existing VR app ecosystem.

HTC VIVE held VIVECON virtually this week. A stand-alone enterprise headset with a focus on protecting tracking data does seem to be a direct response to Oculus. Software Releases. Today I decided to take my Oculus Go out of its box again after a lot of time of inactivity. You may wonder why I’m not using it that much and the answer is that currently I’m mostly experimenting with my Vive Focus , so I’ve left its little brother Oculus Go resting in its original box for a lot of time.
