In my opinion, Magic Leap 2 is a superior device to HoloLens 2 (see my hands-on here ), so I think that with these prices, it can have good success in the enterprise market, starting to gain shares with regard to Microsoft. Many game engines – such as Unity, Unreal and SteamVR- immediately support it. If developers use an API from one peripheral vendor, they need to learn a new API for each new device. Some accept a high-end gaming PC, while others prefer inexpensive Android machines. Google Glass has not been as successful as hoped.
Microsoft confirms (again) it wants to build consumer HoloLens. Alex Kipman, the mind behind Microsoft HoloLens, has confirmed again in an interview that Microsoft will one day build a consumer version of HoloLens.
