The first of these workshops happened at the University of Washington on Tuesday, May 24th, and I was there to cover how some of these discussions may impact the virtual reality community. There are a number of companies now using machine learning techniques in order to analyze and make sense of these raw data streams.

cable extender left over from my ownership of an Oculus Rift CV1 with a 3-camera tracking setup. The image above from Terrel Strong at the University of Washington was from a detailed study into IK and body tracking. A long 3mm machine screw was used as a stabilizing pin to prevent the Tracker from trying to rotate under movement.
