Like the first HoloLens the device also enables glasses wearers to simply slot the device in front of their spectacles (distinct advantage compared to MagicLeap). To do that, it had to pass the basic impact tests from several protective eyewear standards used in NorthAmerica and Europe. CSA Z94.3, and EN 166.
And that’s just in NorthAmerica. I finally — finally, after a year and a half — I got to try out the MagicLeap in Laval, and it was a good experience. Personally, I have some concerns about the cost of the Hololens and the MagicLeap devices at this time. Alan: What do you try it?

The North-America-only limitation is quite a bummer for us Europeans, but honestly, as a developer, I understand the will of making an incremental deployment to be sure that everything works before expanding the product to many countries.
