This is a cool video of me unboxing the Nreal Light Devkit: I have to say that I loved unboxing this headset : while Nreal has not reached the mastery of packaging that Oculus has, it has done a great job: the external box is in a very elegant silver color, and the case of the glasses is small and beautiful.

They should guarantee better tracking both for the headset and the controllers; The controllers are smaller and seem a mix between the Oculus Touch and the WMR 1 controllers. I don’t see this device stealing the scene from Oculus, since Oculus is cheaper, but I’m quite sure this new headset will be able to grab a good market share.
Every year I like to play the guessing game for the Oculus/Facebook/Meta Connect making my list of predictions… which are not always correct, but they are good because they entice all the community people to play this game with me and to tell how they would love to see XR evolving. Then why MagicLeap hasn’t delivered a solid product with 2B?)
As pointed out in one of the Unity Developers’ blog posts , aside from the exponential rise of development businesses, we’re also seeing more developer tools, such as the Unity and Unreal engines, becoming more accessible. Once the base becomes big enough, the platform becomes extremely interesting for marketers and advertisers.
