According to the Steam hardware survey, Windows Mixed Reality headsets are still used by 50–80,000 people today. We don’t have much information about them, but Samsung trademarked the name “Samsung Glasses” some time ago, so this may be a possible name. I cross my fingers, but I don’t have high hopes.

In my opinion , the true error is with the Vive 1 , that will get a price that is higher than the one of all the competitors… and that will cost as much as a Samsung Odyssey, notwithstanding its far lower features. I think the three-degrees-of-freedom [3Dof] sets — like the Go and the Samsung Gear VR before it — are very well-suited for video viewing, that sort of thing.

Microsoft and Samsung may be partnering for an AR device. According to Korean media, Samsung Electronics is working with Microsoft on a new augmented/mixed reality project “involving HoloLens”.
