At an event in New York City this morning Acer showed its latest tech offerings. This included a VR headset that is part of Microsoft’s Windows Mixed Reality platform, simply called the Acer Windows Mixed Reality headset. Visually, the screen texture felt similar to the Oculus Rift. Here’s what we saw.

VPS won’t be available worldwide, though: the company is enabling its VPS system in select cities ?—?San San Francisco, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York City, and Seattle?—?for By the end of the year, the cities will hopefully be around 100. The “metaverse” was not a key topic inside “Microsoft Build”.

I’ve seen what companies are doing nowadays to use tracked props on the Oculus Quest: they have to add bulky mounts to install the even bulkier Touch controllers on them.
