Dubbed Alien: Covenant in Utero , the two-minute VR video experience is now available on Oculus Rift for “Alien Day,” a nod to planet LV-426 from the Alien films. Additionally, the motion capture work for the piece was done at the Technicolor Experience Center (TEC) right here in Los Angeles.

Dick inspired VR experience, The Great C (2018) , to Oculus Go, Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream. The 37-minute sci-fi adventure experience is now available for $6 across all platforms, including versions available on Steam (Vive, Rift) and the Oculus Store (Rift, Go, Gear VR), and Google Play ( Daydream ).

Titanic VR was built from the ground-up for VR and was made using what the studio says were “comprehensive maps to create a realistic 3D model of the wreck site as well as motion capture, face-scanning technology and professional voice actors to immerse users in the story.”

The company behind the software is teaming up with various 3rd party manufacturers of motion capture suits such as Xsens , Rokoko and PrioVR to provide the tools necessary to bring the experience on a tour to locations across the U.S. The first universe is being revealed on Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR.

Interactive Lab brought their first untethered VR experience to the SVVR Expo in May, which utilised Optitrack motion capture systems and a Samsung Gear VR headset to give a user freedom to explore virtual, room-scale environments captured through photogrammetry.
