An upcoming online workshop by XR development educator Circuit Stream will teach developers the basics of building applications for Oculus Quest. But if you’re not ready to jump in that deep, Circuit Stream is holding a one-day ‘ Intro to Oculus Quest Development ‘ live workshop online next week on Saturday, May 16th.
It starts with how you can install Unity and get started with hand tracking development and then proceeds with some suggestions about hands tracking UX. My advice for aspiring VR creators (young and old) is to experiment with as many different creation tools as possible (Tiltbrush, Unity, 360 video, photogrammetry) and see what grabs you! Conventional designs like the Oculus Touch, Valve Index, and HTC controllers are manufactured using relatively thin-walled, injection-molded plastic casings, usually split into two halves.
