If SteamVR apps can’t detect your Vive controllers or you see your Vive/Oculus controllers fixed on a point on the ground in the virtualworld without any possibility to move them, go on reading! But I didn’t want to switch to a 2D workflow once I imported into Unity, and so I used Virtual Desktop’s display overlay to work in Unity on a virtual big screen. With this approach, I was able to preview my scene in VR while still maintaining control over my variables in Unity.
