The CNNVR app has been available on Google’s Daydream VR platform since its November launch last year, and is now publishing content to the Samsung VR app on Gear VR and Oculus Video app on Rift too. In addition, CNN’s iOS and Android apps now support 360 video, along with the desktop site CNN.com/VR.

Nour herself had to flee the war in Syria, moving to Canada in 2017, where she joined a flight school in Quebec, and after earning her license in September 2018 she’s working towards becoming a pilot for Air Canada. The films will be screened in VR through a variety of systems such as the Oculus Go, Google Daydream, or Samsung Gear VR.

However, let me clarify: the Netflix VR app (which has been available on Samsung Gear VR since September 2015) and the new HBO VR app (exclusive to Daydream) are 360 degree virtual reality living rooms in which you can watch any traditional 2D media from each platform’s library… on a virtual television hanging on your virtual wall.
